The Empowerment Program for Girls

A support group, weekly workshop, and creative space for teen girls in Kibera — launched in 2021.

With the rise of domestic and sexual abuse of girls during the pandemic, Inuka launched The Empowerment Program for Girls (TEPG) in 2021 — a dedicated space for upliftment, not a side activity inside mixed classes.

Led by Programme Director Nancy Mokera, the program centers girls’ voices on health, identity, confidence, and everyday choices — with parental consent and community support.
